I know I'm late to rant about this (and I'm sure many people did a much better job of it than I can) but I've been thinking about this a lot and I need to get it out.

WARNING: Spoilers for GoT s1-3 and ASoIaF books 1-4.

Dear Lisa!

BB, you're a brilliant writer, a great friend, and an absolutely amazing person! :D We wish you all the best in the world!

BB, we know how much you love the Borgias so we tried to do something for the Save the Borgias campaign. Maybe it won't get the show renewed but we hope it will at least make you smile! :D

We love you, sweetie! ♥♥♥♥♥

~Becky, Riona, Pris, Vorq, and Anna

Happy Birthday!Collapse )

Have a wonderful day, bb! :D

Found this guy on youtube and it just makes me happy that guys like him exist.

I feel that he deserves way more views than he has so I've decided I share. :D

And those topics are not even the guy's main focus.

I haven't updated my journal for some time now and anyway I thought maybe I should write about something other than my RL problems so...

Ranting about True Blood (spoilerish of the season finale) and ranting and musings about Game of Thrones (spoilerish of the later books, Shae-related). Also flailing over Once Upon a Time.

Thank you!! Thank you so much!!! Whoever you are!! :D (Will you tell me who you are? :D)

ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

So I've been there.

In St.P. there were (according to different sources) from 10 to 30 thousand people. In Moscow from 150 to 300 thousands. In every major city people came out to protest, too.

Today everything was quite civilized, surprisingly. Police and military were all around but very few people were arrested (in St.P. - 10. IDK about Moscow though). Thanks for that at least.

The opposition firmly demands reelection. Two people who've been on the President's council have quit today because they support the opposition. But our government seems to relax somehow. Suddenly they don't give a fuck anymore. So there were people in the streets of almost every city. So what? The Central Election Committee has approved of the election results today and won't lift a finger to do shit about anything.

The opposition has set another official rally for the 24th of December. If our government continues on its course there will be twice as many people as today.

I'm not so sure it's gonna work though.

Life sucks.

So I've been on a free, educational excursion to Police Stations and Courts of Saint Petersburg courtesy of the Government of Russian Federation. Bench and breakfast included.

How it happened.
